WORK EXPERIENCE
December 2015-Present Milton Keynes Parks Trust, Milton Keynes

I volunteered surveying birds for the Parks Trust.
July-August 2013 Gilboa Museum, Gilboa, New York
Gilboa Museum
I volunteered at Gilboa Museum, home to the world’s oldest fossil plants, as a tour guide.
June-August 2012 Parrot Rescue, New Kingston, New York
Parrot Rescue
This is a position I take each summer when I visit back home. I assess the health of the birds, feed them and play with them and clean their cages. I also sometimes hand feed babies.
June-August 2011 The Nature Conservancy/Cornell University, Catskills, New York
Bird Survey
The Bird Survey of Forest Birds of the Catskills was a joint project headed by the Nature Conservancy and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. I went to specific points (by use of GPS) at four sites within NY State owned land to determine if several migratory species (such as eastern wood pewee and black-throated blue warbler) were present (by use of recordings). I also identified plant species in the survey areas.
INTERESTS
Animals. I have long had a love for animals and their well-being and not only have I devoted my time to volunteering at a rescue, but also to studying ways to help and protect them through my degrees in conservation.
Volunteering. Volunteering is the perfect conduit to develop new skills or discover new talents and passions. It has solidified my desire to work with animals in some capacity.
People. I love meeting new people. After living in several countries, I never tire of learning about the cultures of others.
