--Illinois Institute of Technology (Jan 2016-May2016)--
-Developed my own shell, implemented IPC using message queues, created new system calls for it .
-Developed file system tools to get the directories, i-nodes, zones of a file system and
-Developed utilities that will repair the file system when inodebitmap is damaged, zonebitmap is damaged, directory file is completely corrupted and i-node of a directory file is completely corrupted. Security Enhancements for a software switch
--Illinois Institute of Technology (Jan 2016-May2016)-- The goal of the project is to harden the switch so that switch in Software Defined Network can drop packets and stop attacker from overwhelming the controller and/or the end hosts. We make use of OpenVSwitch software switch, to incorporate security checks on incoming packets and check its behavior in the Mininet environment against various attacks. We presented a paper on the same. Mobile Application Development
--Illinois Institute of Technology (Aug 2015- Dec 2015)-- Application is developed for android operating system. It is named “UBoard”. It is prevalent in the universities where students post messages, information about housing, advertise items for sale, events and job opportunities available. It is implemented using IDE Android Studio. This application makes use of centralized database MongoDB to post and retrieve information based on their category of interest.
Online Movie Ticket Booking
--Illinois Institute of Technology (Aug 2015- Dec 2015)-- This application is a dynamic web project implemented using Java, and Apache tomcat as the local Server and making use of SQLPLUS to handle the database. This application provides user with an easy and interactive way of dealing with theatre. The public user can select from the movies being screened in a theatre group located at various locations in a city, buy tickets online and can easily go and enjoy the movie and whole theatre experience. Routing using Link State Protocol
--Illinois Institute of Technology (Aug 2015- Dec 2015)-- This project was based on Dijkstra’s algorithm to find shortest path(s) from source to destination with GUI implementation using java swings. It allows the user to select the source and destination router from a network topology, modify the cost of a link, add a router, delete an existing router and also demonstrate why a particular path was chosen. Attacks and Defenses Pertaining to Bandwidth Distributed Denial of Services
--SJB Institute of Technology, Bangalore, India(Jan 2015- May 2015) The project aimed at overcoming the denial of service attacks which are caused by false injected data, less bandwidth nodes and finding the change in IP address. It involves implementation of Source, Router, Intrusion Detection Manager, various attackers and end user using java swings and networking.
Published a research paper on “Attacks and defense mechanisms pertaining to bandwidth distributed denial of services” at the 2nd National Conference on Multimedia Technology and Communication Systems (NCMTCS 2015).
