Analogue Electronic Design Project: Designed and built a voice-over circuit, using audio amplifiers for music and speech. Project completed in 3 phases: speech input phase, music & mixer phase and power amplifier phase. Group achieved 1st place for phases 1 and 3 out of a total of 8 participating groups.

Real-Time Audio Project: Involved designing and building a digital signal processing filter using an embedded microcontroller, PIC.

Micromouse Design Project: Designed and built a robotic maze solving micromouse, using an embedded microprocessor, Motorola HC11. Designed PCB layout for the motor drivers and sensors, in addition to soldering onto PCB and testing. Group came 2nd out of 8 groups, in a race on a maze a quarter of the IEE standard size, where just 3 of the 8 mice actually functioned correctly.

Final year project involved the design, analysis and implementation of active and passive filters, usable in a wide range of applications including audio circuits, telephony and analogue-to-digital or digital-to-analogue conversions.

All projects were managed effectively, often involving tough decisions to keep deliverables on track. Gained considerable experience in the complete design process, from synthesis and calculations through to implementation and documentation.
