Application Overview

Global Customer Acquisitions Platforms (GCAP) previously termed as GNA (Global New Accounts) core function is to receive and process new applications for American Express Credit cards. It is designed to process and provide a decision for new applications from around the world. The process includes retrieving credit bureau score, Fraud analysis, AML analysis, Credit evaluation risk evaluation etc. In the recent years GCAP has undergone software platform migration from Mainframes to PEGA.

Even though we were doing automation before 2013, it was only during late 2013 we formulated the GCAP Automation Team at Amex level to focus on automation and infrastructure. My primary responsibilities in this team includes: Analyze and Architect the automation needs in the application. Mentor my team in technical areas and ensure team has cohesion. Coordinate between various teams during the automation activities Accountable for the deliverables and task taken up by myself and the team. Below are the roles that I have played in GCAP with key projects and responsibilities:

GCAP Environment Stability Validation Robot, GCAP PEGA data extract to Cornerstone

(Big data), GCAP Universal new card application submission test suite, Performance Test Suites for GCAP with reporting Dashboards.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Business users to gather requirements.

• Collaborate with data ingestion teams in big data to do the data mapping exercise.

• Responsible for sizing, strategic planning and allocating projects to my team.

• Orchestrating automated code movement in the test environments.

• Designing and achieving CI/CD using tools like Jenkins and XLR.
