Foreign Agriculture Service [USDA], Washington DC Dec. 2012 – Present

Senior Web & SharePoint Administrator / Developer

Administered over 50 virtualized Windows 2008/2012 servers by installing and configure IIS, deploying patches on a monthly basis to validate that the servers were not susceptible to any vulnerabilities.

Managed a suite of mission critical applications, both in-house and third party along with integrating new applications created by .NET developers, by making sure it was a complete working build and passed the security threshold set by the agency; whilst administering and configuring existing SharePoint production sites and development activities.

Worked in a team, as a scrum master, to facilitate a complete Team Foundation Server (TFS) migration; which offers source control, data collection, reporting, and project tracking, and used for collaborative software development projects.

Coordinated with the Drupal team on the implementation of the Drupal servers for the redesign of the new Foreign Agriculture Service's website which led to the creation of an automation process done using Drush.

Web Administrator / SharePoint Developer

Leveraging my ITIL skills, I managed to get .Net applications that were sitting in costly traditional servers over to the cloud by creating three-tier virtual machines which would host dev, staging, and production environments respectively.

Used Web Apps Migration Assistant to easily migrate existing websites that run on Internet Information Service (IIS) to App Service Web Apps which runs on Azure. Enabled application and site diagnostics whilst configuring alerts based on metrics and events in Azure. This allowed for better application and site diagnostics.

Consulted with product owners and internal users to define solutions and document requirements.

Implemented solutions and captured functional and non-functional requirements from multiple groups and managers to design the Alaska Regional Office SharePoint 2010 collaboration portal.

Develop team sites based on client’s requirements, along with customized lists, libraries, and workflows using SharePoint Designer 2010.

Served as a Linux administrator responsible for installing and configuring Apache Server with PHP and MySQL for development, testing troubleshooting, and deployment of a Drupal site.

AWS Cloud Administrator

As a passionate advocate of AWS within Paradigm84, I migrated all the legacy websites in traditional web hosting environments to AWS.

Conduct systems design, feasibility and cost analysis to recommend cost-effective cloud solutions.

Created and managed all EC2 instances with WordPress, Drupal, and LAMP stack. Whilst automating all of Drupal using Drush.

Web Specialist / IT Liaison

Oversaw the IT infrastructure which includes the overall network along with the several MACs and PCs the staff use and their smart phones as well as migrating physical IT and the server components to a cloud software as a service (SaaS) managed environment.

Responsible for the design and content of lightyearsip.net using Photoshop and ASP.net; this site is dedicated to alleviating poverty by assisting developing country producers gain ownership of their intellectual property.

Designed a few collaterals utilizing Photoshop and Illustrator that were used for various events that promoted the work of LightYears and the various initiatives they participated with.

Coordinate with top graphic designers from around the world to create brandings for the various intellectual property products we help protect such as coffee.

Created and designed an OOTB (Out-of-the-box) intranet solution for Light Years IP.

American Hospital Association, Washington DC Aug. 2008 – Feb.2010

Website Content Manager

Responsible for developing the voice for all aspects of the organization's online presence using TeamSite.

Worked in a team environment to migrating legacy content from old site to the new site including all digital media assets and tagging all PDFs to be searchable whilst maintaining AHA's taxonomy.

Using Bugzilla, in a collaborative effort, to document and track all bugs found throughout the site during the development cycle making for a better workflow and achieving deliverables in a timely manner using the agile methodology.

Participated in daily scum meetings and attended weekly sprint meetings with products owners.

GCORR - United Methodist Church, Washington DC Seb. 2007 – May.2008

Web Specialist / Digital Strategist

Lead role for managing content for gcorr.org and endingracism.org that allowed awareness in anti-racism and inclusiveness to both members of the church and a general wide audience by designing the website within defined design templates.

As a digital strategist I developed and implemented a new social media campaign via facebook and twitter.

Using the major social media outlets as well as using WordPress, I created a sister blog about ending racism outside of the church that allowed a greater push of agendas for a greater audience reach.

Liaison to the board members of the commission with anything web related including content design, accessibility by adhering to section 508 compliances, and social media campaigning.
