Objective
Opportunity to gain experience/position in the Mechanical Engineering Field
Summary
Extensive engineering experience gained through extracurricular projects such as the collegiate automotive design series, “Formula SAE”
Well rounded experience pertaining to engineering such as computer-aided drafting and design, welding and machining, and manufacturing processes.
Education
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Fall 2016
California State University of Northridge, Northridge, CA
ME415 Kinematics of Mechanisms. Study of forces and motion of constrained mechanisms in machine systems
ME515 Dynamics of Machines. Study and analysis of forces, motion, and inertia in machines.
ME431 Machine Design and Manufacturing. An advanced mechanical design course with emphasis on computer aided design and design for manufacturing of machine parts.
Experience
Formula SAE Collegiate Automotive Design Competition, 2013-2016
Designed and manufactured a Formula-style, open-wheeled, single seat racing car for optimized vehicle performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
High Level Simulation. Use and analyzing of high-level simulation software and results to determine componentry for the car.
Engine System. Synthesis, packaging and system-level design/analysis, design for manufacturing, manufacturing and tuning.
Data Acquisition. Design, setup, interpret, and implement test plans and various sensor to determine how the car is performing.
Team Lead. Utilized experience gained throughout the years in “Formula SAE” to guide and manage a team of eight engineering students during 2015-2016 to design and manufacture the entire engine package for that season (one car per year).
