Consulted with organizations and small businesses to provide human resources, re-engineering and communications services. Worked with owners and leaders to re-brand and streamline operations. Performed employee searches, background checks and interviewed leading candidates. Managed payroll, tax payments and benefit packages. Created communication plans which helped to define how clients want to be known, what they wanted to say to their constituents and how they could best reach them. Provided services for 2,100 educational employees across 13 school districts. Negotiated 13 contracts, valued at more than $20 million per year while also managing contract interpretation/enforcement, arbitration, and member relations. Analyzed compensation and benefit trends at peer school districts to find outliers and establish norms. Consistent history of building positive working relationships with superintendents and their attorneys. Settled nine grievances and co-counseled one arbitration that led to a member getting reinstated. Trained in legal aspects of human resources and insurance coverage analysis. Re-engineered moribund organization into a politically active, member-centric, statewide association. Managed professional teams of lobbyists and educational researchers. Consultant/Research Analyst 2005-2011

Authored an extensive report on the current diversity of the university and the progress made over the past 15 years. Completed a longitudinal study to discover what factors impact the tenure-granting process. Investigated and produced results comparing salary, tenure and longevity across gender and racial subgroups. Produced annual analyses of the university budget and faculty benefit packages.

Initiated a project focused on researching the impact of Federal and state Medicaid policies on low income children and parents. Co-authored a peer-reviewed paper on the effect of the 2001 economic slowdown on Medicaid enrollment.
