Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)

Main objective of EDW is to build a data warehouse which act as Golden Source of data. The Enterprise Data Repository (EDR) provides the holistic view of customer, exposure and rating data which is key for Basel II implementation. Basel II is an accord to be followed by Financial Institutions to increase their risk sensitivity by defining three types of risk (Credit, Market, and Operational) and improving the capital and internal efficiencies of financial institutions by defining supervisory review process and public disclosure norms. This project is to make PNC bank BASELII Compliance. Project is to implement BASEL II compliance across all its portfolios. This will give PNC a strong emphasis on risk management and improvements in bank’s risk assessment capabilities. This project is using Business Data warehouse Model (BDW) to build Enterprise wide warehouse.

Responsibilities:

Prepared a detailed Technical Design Document after analyzing the Functional Specifications and Architectural Diagram. Technical Design Document captured all functional and technical requirements.

Worked with different sources like Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 UDB and flat files.

Performed Data Cleansing before loading it on data warehouse.

Developed numerous complex Informatica Mappings, Mapplets and reusable transformations using various transformations like Aggregator, Joiner, Filter, Source Qualifier, Expression and Router Transformations.
