Miles is a consultant with strong skills based in hard science and engineering principles. Inventions include algorithms for enhanced OCR preprocessing and novel data migration technology for Windows platform applications. His first product, a specialized Adobe Photoshop plugin for the Newspaper Association of America, was promoted and sold by Ronald Regan's personal photographer. My first business experience was wonderful and fun.

Designed, coded, debugged and tested a DCOM MMC-SNAPIN for remote system administration. Product provided remote technical support and management of SQL servers, SQL indexes, human language indexes, schema updates and all other available administration features.

Partnered with Mike Evans, personal photographer for Ronald Reagan, to produce a line of Adobe PhotoShop plug-ins. The product (PIK) serves the newspaper and magazine market. Integrated NAA/IPTC with TIF and JPEG standards and integrated international digital image capturing standards.
Established digital image captioning standards between international agencies including Reuters and Associated Press.

Member of eight person team that advanced the LAX freeway traffic control system by optimizing traffic patterns in LA and provided a real time multi-user controller for highways and maps with zooming and tools. At the time, this was a fantastic and very modern system. Worked directly under tutelage of Dr. Michael Rubenstein to build Windows 3.0 operating system overlay loaders, which are necessary to run large programs, such as the 10MB JHK & Associates application program, in the 680K available RAM memory.
