Title : Productivity Improvement in Mahindra and Mahindra Worm Shaft. Description : The project work carried out mainly focuses on the productivity aspect of the manufacturing cell that manufactures Worm Shaft. The project work involved a detailed analysis of the present scenario under which the considered manufacturing cell operated. It was followed by a real time understanding of the problems in the cell. Upon finding out that a suitable changes made in the mode of clamping of workpieces can bring about a sustainable change in the overall productivity of the cell, a number of possible solutions such as Hydraulic Chuck, Eccentric Chuck and Face Driver were looked upon.
An understanding that the Face Driver device was the most suitable solution, a successful implementation of it was undertaken to realise the scope of the project and improve productivity. Duration : 95 days.
Role : Took up a single person approach to establish a formal relationship with the company management in order to obtain the permissions necessary yo carry out the project. Involved actively in realising the present scenario of the manufacturing cell and the process in a time bound fashion. Took up the initiative of understanding the existing problems and suggesting suitable solutions with an in depth analysis of both. Succeeded in convincing the best solution from the suggested ones and made sure that the solution was truely implemented thus achieving the scope of the project to improve productivity.

Title : A Technical Seminar on Agile Manufacturing. Description : A Technical Seminar on Agile Manufacturing mainly focuses on the cutting edge technology of Agile Manufacturing. An in depth analysis on the needs and requirements of a manufacturing system in modern day is carried out. The analysis shows the necessity of an Agile Manufacturing system.
A detailed study of the Agile Manufacturing system is carried out listing the advantages and implications of the technique. The parameters affecting a successful implementation of the technique is too described. Finally a case study is added to realise the technique in the real world scenario.
Duration : 10 days.
