FLEXTRONICS, Americas Finance Vice-President (06/2014 – 05/2016) Responsible for financial operations of an 8.4B USD, 40k employees, 22 manufacturing sites, 6 design centers organization.

Mexican model for interaction adapted to 150+ customers in multiple Countries:

- Customer monthly financial statements

- Regional finance directors at each Country

- On site controllers at each location

Established a Toyota type training program for all finance members, in three different languages. This was a highly motivating tool for growth within the organization. Certified 20% of financial group employees (74/370) as green belt level in Six Sigma system, to participate actively in the cost reduction efforts.

Developed a highly successful mentoring program to promote internal candidate promotions.

Main Financials Accomplishments:

Working with 3 regional operations VP’s, developed a challenging plan to obtain a 60M USD cost reduction to the FY2016 business plan (Apr 2015 – Mar 2016). Actual results were:

- 26M USD savings in freight and duties (thinking out of the box mindset)

. Increased SMI penetration

. Lowered inventory levels; consolidated routing guide by city.

. Oil pricing and rate negotiations in Brazil, where freight and duties reached a historic record low at 4%.

- 19M USD in Purchase Price Variance generated in addition to our regular material organization, through the finance department reverse cost engineering group

- 20M USD through exchange rate, maximizing benefit by insisting on having negotiations done in Mexican pesos.

12M USD income tax reduction obtained by modifying invoicing procedures in Brazil.

Inventory Turn Over improved from 5.7 during FY2015 to 6.2 on FY2016.

- Obsolete and slow move negotiations with customers.

- Modified Supplier Management Inventory agreements, transferring freshness clause responsibilities to customer;

- Implement changes in use of obsolete and excess material consumption on a regional instead of site basis.

Maintained Accounts Receivables at less than .2% past due.

All of the above, resulted in a record 240M+ USD Free Cash Flow for the region. This contributed the corporation to perform key acquisitions in the automotive (MCI) and solar industry (Nextracker) that generated significant profits at the same time allowing our region to enter the shoe manufacturing industry.

Lead the M&A and accounting integration of Solectron, Saturn Automotive division and Alcatel Lucent

(Nogales operations) among others. Successful transfer our Nogales, Monterrey and Ramos Arizpe facilities to Guadalajara in order to improve our asset utilization and reduce the level of overhead expense without major disruption.

Transactional activities such accounts receivables, payables and others, transferred to India in order to increase efficiencies on overhead.

These improvements increased company productivity, eliminated inefficiencies and non-value added activities allowing the company to increase their operational profit in FY2016 to more than 10 times that of FY2008, making our Country operation the most profitable region in the world for Flextronics for 8 consecutive years.

No major audit findings from external or internal auditors in terms of SOX compliance, statutory or compliance either on Mexican and US entities due to internal controls established and monitored on a quarterly basis in order to reduce risk, audit work force and fees.

Customs Trade and ERP inventory balance reconciliation on a monthly basis with no major discrepancies maintaining a fresh aging in order to avoid taxes on raw materials nationalization.
