PROJECTS:
Defense mechanism for Port Scan Attack
Designed an intrusion detection mechanism on SDN using Mininet Virtual Machine and POX controller that will notice the unusual activity of a remote computer to connect to more than few ports at one time and mitigate it.
Simulation of a queueing system
Designed an algorithm to simulate M/M/1 server and calculate its throughput, utilization, average wait time for a job100000 jobs given as input to the server.
Distance Vector Multicast Routing Protocol
Designed a program that deals with implementing DVMRP using set of processes that communicate with each other via files. such as hosts, routers and controller. Computing reliability of a network
Designed an algorithm to simulate a computer network, identify the bottlenecks in the network and calculate the reliability of the entire network based on the reliability of the individual links of the network. Application to Network Design
Designed an algorithm to simulate computer network, perform cost analysis and budgeting, network capacity planning and calculate the optimized path between hosts based on various parameters such as link capacity, link cost and link traffic load.
