OBJECTIVE:
To obtain a full-time entry level job based on my knowledge of mechanical engineering and engineering design. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
The VMC Group December 2015 – January 2016
Engineering Internship
• Worked in engineering applications to design vibration isolation and seismic restraint systems.
• Created comprehensive reports on designs including CAD drawings, design assumptions, calculations, and product recommendations. MakerBot Industries June 2015 – August 2015
Engineering Internship
• Worked with process and manufacturing engineers to design a new pallet flow rack system.
• Performed failure analysis on products and devised cost efficient strategies to determine and fix failures.
• Participated in two-week Kaizen working on production line to determine necessary process changes through PFMEAs.
• Worked extensively with 3-D printers and various programs associated with 3-D design and printing. BAE Systems, Inc. May 2014 – March 2015
Engineering Internship
• Designed and built production fixtures to reduce subassembly build time and prevent defects.
• Created mechanical drawings and applied geometric tolerances so parts were produced easily and cost effectively.
• Completed tolerance analysis (GD&T) for each assembly as well as finite element analysis using computational modeling software.
• Performed failure analysis on motors, and generated a failure report with recommended design and installation changes.
• Created project memos documenting design assumptions, decisions, and findings in fixture development.
• Performed vibration testing and failure analysis and provided a comprehensive report on findings. New York City Department of Design and Construction June 2013 – August 2013 Engineering Internship
• Worked directly with professional engineers and architects on public building projects in NYC.
• Used AutoCAD and Revit MEP to create drawings and 3-D models for the projects.
• Created comprehensive engineering analysis reports on projects including discovering flaws in the original designs and/or proposing better or more sustainable design ideas.
PreWired Controls Corp. June 2012 – January 2013
Engineering Internship
• Worked directly with the president of PreWired Controls, a company specializing in PLC programming, controls and electrical troubleshooting for industrial machinery.
• Assisted in installation of servo drives, new PLC controls, new touch screens, and multiple operator pushbutton systems.
• Helped in start-up with programming and assisted in I/O check. EDUCATION:
