As an ETO onboard I am in charge of the preventive and corrective maintenance of the electric and electronic components. Working closely with chief engineer and officers to keep communication and a better understanding of the jobs to be done. My tasks consists of taking care of:
Niigata 8MG28HLX engine sensors and communication systems.
Steering gear control systems.
Converteam Dynamic Positioning Systems troubleshooting and maintenance.
Tunnel thrusters electronic control systems.
Anchor handling electronic control systems.
CPP control systems.
FIFI control systems.
Fire and H2S sensors and alarm system.
Engine department alarm and monitoring systems.
Main switch board control systems, transformers, UPS, power supplies and shaft and diesel generators.
DP reference sensors maintenance: wind sensors, MRU, gyros, FANBEAM, RADIUS.
Preventive and corrective maintenance of electric motors and panel control.
Test for ABS, PEMEX inspections and DP trials
