While working in the Employee Occupational Health department, my responsibilities were to collect and review medical history. I also filed and organized personnel files. I would document data according to standards and regulations of the facility. I ran reports based on the data entered in the system, to monitor employee compliance, then reported it to the Human Resource department. I did office duties such as filing, auditing charts, answer phones, schedule appointments and multiple office duties. I vaccinated as required and provided Tuberculin test and reading for all new employees as well as annually to all staff. I also performed a respirator fit test according to OSHA regulations for all employees who would have patient contact. When creating a chart on all newly hired employees, I entered that data in the computer. I used Microsoft office, Microsoft Power point, excel, word, spread sheets and windows. Yearly, I participated in our influenza vaccination program as well as attended educational seminars. I received recognition for administering the highest amount of vaccines two years in a row. When exposures such as Tuberculosis, Scabies, Meningitis and any other contractible disease occurred, the Epidemiologist reviewed the situation. I assisted in contacting all staff involved to communicate, educate and provide instructions according to the policy and OSHA regulations. Follow up was provided within a timely manner, if indicated. I completed all other office duties as required within my scope.
