Rising Tree Wind Farm – 230kV Transmission Line – Developing PLS CADD model for proposed 230kV transmission line wind farm to SCE substation located in Kern County, California. Engaging to design transmission line, clearance, right of way, structural loading, foundation design, hardware selection, associated bill of materials and construction drawing package.

Preparing preliminary design and calculation for bidding couple nos of Transmission Line Projects. MOD Power Black Tip, Anadarko, Fowler Ridge IV are the upcoming projects for Design.

Besides transmission line projects, involved to support in design, analysis and upgrade foundation stuffs for Entergy’s substation and switch yard.

2011 – 2013 ENERCON

Transmission Line Engineer (Civil/Structural)

Florida Power, Grand River Dam Authority, Pepco Holding, American Transmission Company, Florida Public Utility, Duke/Progress Energy – Create PLS-CADD model from LiDAR surver of existing transmission line and structures to perform clearance issues based on client requirement. Prepare & develop line routing, structure selection, plan and profile drawings, hardware and conductor selection, bills of materials.

Gained experience on projects ranging from 69kV to 345kV. Experience in the design and modification of lattic tower, steel poles, wood poles, drilled pier and direct embed foundation. Responsible for all facets of transmission line design including structure loading and foundation design.

Gained experience on joint use structure for tower antenna and communication cable developing lite model. Examine health adequacy of existing wooden poles using D-Calc for woodpeckers issues.

Develop structural loading for substation equipment and physical design of rigid bus. Analysis of existing slab and pile foundation, design upgrade of substation and switchward.

Ghana Grid Co, ARK Eng. – Physical Development of plan and profile (w/ reference of power one line diagram) for substation projects. Develop general arrangement, conduit, cable, foundation plan for substation and switchyards. Analysis and design of foundation using L-Pile and spreadsheet.

Developing the ice load model for large and extra large arc formed agriculture structure, its physical model develop, structure strength analysis using RISA 2D. Assisting to generate specification and product catalog.

American Eelectric Power, Central Maine Power, Arizona Public Services, Sunflower, Pacificorp – Engaging for develop general arrangement, conduit & cable, foundation plan for substation and switchyard. Developing structural loading for various substation equipment and strength design of rigid bus. Design, analysis, and upgrade for slab on grade and pile foundations. Development of structural performance drawing and detail design for substation supporting and deadend structures. Developing substation standard performance structures for 230 kV projects using client standards and standard codes.

Embassy Suites, Virgina Beach Tower – Supporting customs homes structure design & detailing (wooden structure, concrete foundation) using Enercalc, TJ Beam, CRSI Retain. Design work of foundation, floor slab, column design & detailing for parking structure, high rise building, hotel suites. Steel structure (beam, column, connection) analysis using SAP and detail drawing preparation, BOM. Site supervision, assisting and reporting of residential building projects.

Kathmandu Valley Mapping Program, Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Little Angles’ System – Engaging as civil engineer on multiple scopes of project. Engaged with GMI (Construction Material Industry), Little Angle’s System as a consultant for business owner, Partnership- Consulting Firm and Mapping Program.
