Asset Custody: Administering program resources and assets in line with key policies and procedures; Maintaining the fixed asset register and assets in good working conditions; Working with the national office to ensure all project insurance covers are in place and renewed on a timely basis; Maintaining the petty cash system; Ensuring adequate security measures for cash and cheques in the program; administering staff personal and business advances; and conducting regular motor vehicle log book checkup.
Procurement of Supplies: Obtaining competitive bids for local purchase and ensuring a transparent tendering system for local purchase.
Payment and Record Keeping: Making payments in line with organizational policies; Ensuring proper and consistent cost allocation; Ensuring proper backing up of program expenses with relevant documents including referencing and filing of other accounting documents.
Cash Management: Receipting community cash contributions, excess float and other monies; administering the petty cash system; and preparing monthly cashbooks.
