Hartford IC Project caters to the need of Hartford Insurance in North America. These enhancements were done on the top of CSC’s Exceed Insurance Product. Was responsible for Design and development of these enhancements for Policy Subsystem. Policy Subsystem addresses the business needs of creating new Insurance Policy, attaching various Vehicle, Home and Dwelling Units to these policies for the coverage taken by the insured. Once all the policy information is fed to the system it undergoes rating process to determine premium charged to insured. Also before issuing a Policy an underwriting process is initiated by system to take decisions whether Policy should be issued, referred or place on hold based on various underwriting factors.

Project Description
These enhancements were done on Exceed product Policy subsystem for Unitrin Insurance customer. Below features are supported by these enhancements:
1)It provides the flexibility of making Driver assignments on Vehicle Unit attached to the Policy. This process of assignment is automated as soon as rating on Policy is initiated. Once the Policy has been rated user can see Driver assignments to Vehicle by accessing the Policy inquiry mode.
2)Also rating indicator was set based on the underwriter decision.
3)Vehicle functionality was modified to provide additional input for information such as Collision, Liability and OTC.
4)These enhancements were configured ON/OFF based on switches and DBLs configured as per customer requirement.
5)Continuous Delivery Process (CDR) and guidelines were followed in order to deliver these functionalities as per Quality standards.

Project Description
This enhancement was developed for Unitrin Insurance Company. It provides flexibility to access third party claims system through Exceed products Policy subsystem. These third party claims screens and database was accessed by setting up web service communication between Exceed Policy and third party system, Exceed Product is three tier architecture consisting of three layers, i) Front End ii) Communication framework iii) Mainframe Host. In order to interact with third party system web service calls were routed through communication framework. Mainframe Host is enterprise information system wherein Business logic and data access logic is coded to access mainframe DB2 database, Calls from Mainframe to third party system are directed from communication framework vis-à-vis. Following functions are support by Exceed Policy system: 1) Endorsement 2) Renewal 3) Cancellation 4) Reinstatement and 5) Correction/Reissue.

-Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Science & Engineering from I.E.T University 2008(India) with honors (Percentage – 76.9%).
