Analysis and Design of Multi-story Building using ETABS

Description:

G+6 storey building on medium type soil is considered in seismic zones II, III, IV and V for the analysis. The models is used for the analysis using structural software package ETABS 2015. The response parameters of four models such as Base shear, Mode period, Storey displacement and Storey accelerations are studied. Their comparisons are made with both the methods of Equivalent static lateral force and response spectrum. By the analysis it is observed that, as the height and mass participation of the structure increases, Base shear and Mode period increases.

Study on dynamic behaviour of rc frames in comparision with rc shear wall system for high rise structures

Description:

G+60 storey building on medium type soil is considered in seismic zones II, III, IV and V for the analysis. In total, four models fully conventional beam columns, dual system, fully shear wall with open and fully shear wall without opening are used for the analysis using structural software package ETABS 2015.The response parameters of four models such as Base shear, Mode period, Storey displacement and Storey accelerations are studied. To study the effect of concrete core wall & shear wall at different positions during earthquake, seismic analysis using both linear static, linear dynamic and non-linear static procedure has been performed. The deflections at each storey level has been compared by performing the methods of Equivalent static lateral force response spectrum and Time history analysis.
