Have worked as an electrician for 34 yrs.

Most of the last 8 yrs. have been in retrofitting government buildings with new systems and the remodeling of office spaces in some secure areas of bases. Have knowledge of working in hospital environments at local VA hospital and LAFB hospital.

Have also wired commercial buildings for energy management systems both new and retro fitting older buildings on the commercial and industrial side. Job required running of all conduits, associated wiring, the installation of sensors, louver actuators, on main havoc units and Vaunts in individual rooms.

Have worked on high voltage distribution systems at various military bases around Hampton roads area both overhead and underground systems.

Installed new class a fire alarm system at Norfolk naval base headquarters in 2012/13 with little problems in building built in 1923.

Have experience in residential wiring such as panel upgrades installing new circuits to existing homes including fishing wires through existing walls with minimal or no sheet rock repairs needed afterwards wiring of new homes etc.

Job required the coordination of the various trades involved making sure everyone performed their task in a professional and timely manner. Trying to make sure trades were able to do their jobs without being in each other’s way making sure all products used were what was specked out for the job so as not to have any redo’s & ask tradespeople the right question if it was a field I was not well versed in so I could answer any question that may arise down the road.

Worked on electrical system for railroad construction and repair machines

Spent 6yrs installing electrical components on various types of railroad repair and maintenance equipment for passer American co.in Chesapeake vat Working as lead man on the floor .

Job duties included the placement of brackets for various sensors on machines, electrical boxes,tubing for wires computer racks, control panels and other misc. equipment necessary to the safe operation of machines.

Was also responsible for making sure all systems were properly hooked up to include computer and control panels.
