SUMMARY
Over 35 years of petrochemical industry experience, currently as a Senior Project Manager. Industry experience includes refining, petrochemical, chemical, oil and gas, offshore platforms and LNG. Responsibilities include project management, project delivery, engineering management, interface management, detailed engineering, conceptual design, front-end engineering design (FEED), planning, and cost control.
EXPERIENCE
2007 - 2016 Sr. Project Manager, WorleyParsons, Houston, TX Worked on the following projects:
Anadarko – Mozambique LNG, Mozambique. Inlet Facilities Manager for Anadarko onshore AMA1 team providing owner’s engineering during FEED for two LNG trains. Inlet Facilities include pig launcher/receivers, slug catchers, MEG recovery and regeneration units, MEG storage, metering, chemical injection and interface with Operations, Subsea and LNG teams.
BP – Thunder Horse Water Injection Phase 2, Gulf of Mexico. Project Manager for the expansion of the asset’s water injection capability from 135 KBPD to 250 KBPD including the addition of advanced water treatment equipment and the expansion of the existing sea water supply, deaeration, water injection and utility systems. Initiated the project from the pre-Appraise stage.
Chevron – Quiluma Development Project Pre-FEED/FEED Project, Angola. Managed the Select (pre-FEED) and Define (FEED) scope of work for the offshore Well Head Platform and onshore modifications to support the gas supply to Angola LNG. The Well Head Platform is supported on a steel jacket in 280 feet of water and designed to deliver 300 MMSCFD of gas. The onshore work included a new Beach Valve Station, pig receiver, slug catcher, separation and produced water treatment and injection facilities.
Exxon Neftegas Limited – Sakhalin-1 Arkutun-Dagi Topsides Project, Sakhalin Island, Russia. Served as Interface Manager and Change Manager for the 36,000-tonne topsides project, responsible for interfaces with Environmental, Regulatory, Gravity-Based Structure (Aker) and Pipelines groups (Fluor and Saipem) and responsible for managing the impact of changes to the project scope through project variances and design change notices to the fabricator.
Chevron Nigeria Limited – Domestic Gas Supply and Escravos River Crossing Pre-FEED Project, Nigeria. Managed the Select (pre-FEED) scope of work to develop the process flow diagrams (PFDs), plot plan, equipment list, river crossing plans, preliminary pipeline studies and other deliverables to support the Class 2 cost estimate.
Waha Oil Company – North Gialo Pre-FEED Project, Libya. Managed the Select (pre-FEED) scope of work to develop the PFDs, plot plan, equipment list, and other deliverables to support the Class 2 cost estimate.

TengizChevroil – Sales Gas Export Compressor Project, Tengiz, Kazakhstan. Managed the Define (FEED) scope of work to install a fifth sales gas compressor and associated utilities at the existing facilities.
2006 - 2007 Engineering Manager, WorleyParsons, Houston, TX Marathon Oil Company – West Africa Gas Capture and Equatorial Guinea LNG Train 2 Gas Plant Project, Equatorial Guinea. Served as the Onshore Engineering Manager responsible for development of the FEED engineering package and cost estimate. Designed the plant for a total capacity of 915 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) and included production facilities for a slug catcher, condensate stabilization, acid gas removal, dehydration, natural gas liquid (NGL) recovery and fractionation, power generation, utilities, and tie-ins to the existing Train 1 plant. 2005 - 2006 Project Engineer/Engineering Manager, WorleyParsons, Houston, TX Chevron (Unocal) – Unocal Bibiyana Gas Field Development Project, Bangladesh. Project Engineer and Engineering Manager responsible for the project delivery from initiation to close-out. Provided engineering and procurement support of the north pad production and gathering facilities; a gathering pipeline; a gas plant at the south pad with production facilities to enable the separation, processing, future compression, and sales of the hydrocarbon reserves; gas and condensate sales pipelines; and metering facilities at the Musai valve station near Rashidpur. Designed this project for a total capacity of 600 MMSCFD separated into four production trains rated for a capacity of 150 MMSCFD each.
2004 - 2005 Civil/Structural Supervising Engineer, WorleyParsons, Houston, TX ExxonMobil – Baytown Area Project (BTAP) Alliance Projects, Baytown, TX. Lead Supervising Engineer on multiple projects, including small- to medium-size capital projects at five area chemical plants and the ExxonMobil Baytown Refinery. Presented with challenges, including fast track projects, critical schedules, environmentally sensitive projects, evaluation of existing pipe racks, and upgrade of existing structures and foundations. Managed procurement and subcontract package preparation. 2003 - 2004 Project Engineer, WorleyParsons, Houston, TX Chevron Nigeria Limited – Escravos Gas Plant (EGP3) Onshore FEED Recycle Project, Escravos, Nigeria. As Project Engineer lead the update of the gas plant expansion FEED, which was required to eliminate the flares, supply feedstock to the new GTL plant, and LPG recovery. Coordinated the engineering activities for the preparation of the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) bid package and the Class 3 cost estimate, including specifications, data sheets, drawings, modular studies and criteria, Plant Design System (PDS) model reviews, and constructability. E.R. Carpenter – P-6 Polyol Plant Project, Bayport, TX, 2003. Served as the Lead Civil/Structural Engineer for the P-6 Plant. Provided civil designs, including railcar loading/unloading rack expansion. Added railcar storage, chemical sewer, plant drainage, and firewater. Provided structural design, including reactor and neutralizer structure, filter press building, new and modified pipe racks, cooling tower basin, ejector structure, and tank and pump foundations.
Chevron Nigeria Limited – Escravos Gas Plant Phase 3 Project, Escravos, Nigeria, 2001- 2002. Served as the Lead Civil/Structural Engineer for the gas plant expansion FEED. Eliminated the flares, supply feedstock to the new GTL plant, and LPG recovery. Managed all civil and structural work, including specifications, site preparation, site drainage and civil work, tank foundation and containment design, foundation design, modular studies and criteria, modular and other structural design, and constructability.
OxyChem – Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT) Projects, Deer Park and Ingleside, TX, 2001. Served as the Lead Civil/Structural Engineer for the addition of a wet electrostatic precipitator and catalytic oxidizer in place of the existing vent stack for air-pollution reduction.
Akzo Nobel – FCC Catalyst Plant Project, Pasadena, TX, 1999-2000. Served as the Lead Civil/Structural Engineer responsible for expansion of an existing process building and revamp of existing equipment support structures, new structures and foundation, and new rail spurs.
Amoco – Prairie Rose Linear Alpha Olefin Front-End Loading (LAO FEL) Project, Joffre, Alberta, Canada, 1997-1999. Served as the Lead Civil/Structural Engineer for the project. Managed the development of the FEED package and the cost estimate for all civil, structural, and architectural aspects of the project. Performed FEL work that included study of modular versus stick-built construction. Designed modules for early construction package.
Shell – Olefins Plant Number III (OP-III) Fire Damage Assessment Project, Deer Park, TX, 1997-1999. Served as the Structural Engineer responsible for initial fire/explosion damage assessment and rebuild recommendations. Served as Lead Structural Engineer responsible for repair/rebuild of the electrical substations, warehouse, and office buildings.
Shell – Shell Engineering Design (SED) Projects, Deer Park, TX, 1992-1996. Managed all civil, structural steel, and foundation design for all SED projects. Acted as Project Engineer on selected projects, including the 7,000-foot-long south effluent treater outfall pipeline installed by directional drilling and open trench and tank farm upgrade projects.
Diamond Shamrock – Hydrocracker Unit Project, Three Rivers, TX, 1991-1992. Managed all civil, structural steel, and foundation design for the 20,000 barrels per stream day (BPSD) Hydrocracker Unit. Performed foundation design for all high-pressure exchangers, reactors, heaters, pipe racks, and dynamic analysis for two reciprocating hydrogen makeup compressors and a recycle gas compressor.
Citgo – Tail Gas II Project, Lake Charles, LA, 1990-1991. Managed all civil, structural steel, and foundation design for equipment, piperacks, and 74-foot-long trussed pipe road crossing. Citgo – Sour Water Stripper Project, Lake Charles, LA, 1990-1991. Managed all civil, structural steel, and foundation design for a 1,200-gallons-per-minute (GPM) sour water stripper unit. Performed a civil design that included oily water sewer system and sump, paving, and storm drainage. Ensured that major steel structures supported the main piperack, six 48,000-pound air coolers, and three 113,000-pound reboilers. Designed foundation that included foundations for all steel structures, two 50-foot-diameter surge tanks, and three 142-foot-tall stripper towers.
Monsanto – SAB Expansion Project, Chocolate Bayou, TX, 1988. Managed the structural analysis and design for adding a 90,000-pound overhead accumulator to an existing concrete structure. Analyzed the existing structure for the current and future loads and designed steel structure to support new accumulator.

Koch Refinery -- Naphtha Hydrotreater and Continuous Catalyst Regeneration (CCR) Platformer Project, Corpus Christi, TX. Provided foundation and structural design. 1980 - 1987 Structural Engineer, Fluor Engineers and Constructors Kemya – Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) Unit Project, Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia. Managed the Modularization study and coordinated with the module transportation contractor. Provided the structural design for the storage silo modules for the 12-silo and 16-silo configurations. Amoco Oil – Refinery Expansion Project, Texas City, TX. Provided structural design for the Hydrocracker/Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) Revamp and Hydrogen Fluoride (HF) Alkylation Unit. Provided field engineering support to the Home Office and to construction management to respond to technical queries.
Texaco - Refinery Expansions, Port Arthur, TX and Convent, LA. Projects included the CCR Unit at Port Arthur and the Fluid Catalytic Cracking unit (FCCU), H-oil Unit, Hydrogen Generation Unit, Crude Unit, and Offsites for Convent Refinery Expansion. Provided structural design in the home office and field engineering support to construction management to respond to technical queries and to interface with QA/QC.
