PROJECTS

FINAL YEAR PROJECT (August 2014-May 2015):

Title: Design and Analysis of Alloy Rim of a Four Wheel Vehicle.

Details:

Was responsible for design of alloy rims with increased performance, high durability, and better endurance strength, under fatigue and severe loading conditions while also accounting for aesthetics of design.

Worked towards improving the handling of vehicles by reducing rim weight and getting rid of the packaging constraints.

OTHER PROJECT ( December 2012-July 2014):

Title: Design, Analysis and Fabrication of a Formula-type Race car. Details:

Led a team of 22 engineering aspirants for the Design and Fabrication of a Formula-type Race car that participated in the StudentFormula (FS) Competition in July 2014, which was organized by Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), India.

Responsible for the suspension and wheel assembly design and manufacturing which included the suspension geometry design and calculations.

Assisted in the manufacturing of components like hubs and uprights which was done with the help of precision machining techniques such as CNC machining and Jig Boring. Also supported in the manufacturing of the chassis framework using MIG welding technique.

PROFESSIONAL PROJECTS

Title: Kinder Morgan – Pipeline Project, PennEast – Pipeline Project. (Ongoing) Company: Mott MacDonald Pvt. Ltd.

Working on development and support for the Federal Energy Regulation Commission drawing package with our US sister consultant.

The submission drawing package includes construction alignment sheets, residential safety drawings and land plats that identify the engineered pipe material, site protection and construction workspace design.

Also responsible for workshare distribution, planning and scheduling, and co-ordinating with our US counterpart to ensure quality output in order to meet stringent deadlines. Title: SIBA Field Development Project-Petrojet (Ongoing) Company: Mott MacDonald Pvt. Ltd.

Identifying the stress critical lines and preparing the stress critical linelist, pipe support and wall thickness calculations, and preparation of support register.

Modelling and Analysis of stress critical lines on CAESAR software and checking the piping isometrics.

2+ years of volunteering at an NGO, MAD-Make A Difference, teaching English and Mathematics to underprivileged children in shelter homes in Mumbai.

Currently working as a Head Mentor at the city level to ensure quality and effective learning along with appropriate syllabus design in centres all across the city. Working as a link between the volunteers and the national team.
