Project Title: Emotional Intelligence And Anxiety Among Physically Dependent And Independent Individuals Undergoing Physiotherapy In Pimpri Chinchwad Area Objective: To study correlation between emotional intelligence and anxiety. To study gender differences on emotional intelligence and anxiety. To study differences on physically dependent and independent individuals Description : Modern life is becoming highly complex because of the process of urbanization and related social changes which influence the lives of people (Kaur, 1992) Anxiety and stress owing to the competitive life are reflecting on the behavior of individuals in every sphere of life which not only negatively influence their emotional health and social interaction but also adversely affect their overall adjustment in their respective fields and performance Emotional intelligence is the factor with which a person develops and maintains his/her interpersonal relations & it helps to put people at ease, so EI will help individual to cope up the pressure due to physical illness. Anxiety has a much larger impact on people's health then they might expect. Anxiety is a normal response that is necessary to our survival. Anxiety orients us to danger and prepares our bodies to either challenge or escape it. Anxiety can also motivate us to take action, such as when we realize we have an important deadline, and it can give us a bit of a thrill, such as when we ride a roller coaster or play a fast-paced competitive game. Our world would be more dangerous if we were unable to become anxious. But for some people, anxiety is the norm, not the exception, and their fears make it hard for them to meet family, work, and social obligations. As medical problems or physical problems many times lead to anxiety and if they have a disorder, they cannot properly function.
Thus if we understand emotional intelligence and their way of handling anxiety we can guide them to manage anxiety and develop EI skills and can use the information for guidance. MA Final Year Case Studies:
