PROJECT- EXPERIENCE
To evaluate the safety and efficacy of Tedizolid Phosphate in the treatment of Bacterial
Skin Infections (Sep ’15)
To test efficacy of tedizolid phosphate and its pharmacological activity
Clinical trials done on 126 patients with bacterial infections like cellulitis,skin abscess and wound infection
Patients were randomized into 2 groups and were evaluated according to treatment protocol
One of the subject group received lenizolid phosphate which is the standard drug and the other group received tedizolid phosphate which is the investigational drug
The study was done for a period of 3 months at OMNI HOSPITAL,Dilsukhnagar,Hyderabad
The group that received that received tedizolid phosphate was more safe and efficacious and its clinical success rate was 89.9% while the group that received tedizolid phosphate the clinical success rate was about 81% and it had some adverse effects
It can be thus concluded that Tedizolid Phosphate is more safe and efficacious than linezolid phosphate in the treatment of skin infections
Estimation of Minicereal formulation for Nutraceutical Value (Apr’13)
Preparing a nutraceutical formulation from a source that is available in plenty and is inexpensive
Finger millet,Milk powder,Sugar powder used as a source
Formulation in the ratio of 3:2:2 selected on the basis of Palatability, Taste and Nutritional value
Nutraceutical formulation is estimated for presence of Calcium,Iron,Riboflavin,Niacin and Total calorific value
Results suggest presence of High amount of Calcium
Considerable amounts of Ferrous iron,Ferric iron and Dissolved Iron in the Nutraceutical Formulation
Total Calorific value is about 429.28 per 100 gms of the Nutraceutical Formulation
The Nutraceutical Formulation also contains significant amount of B-Complex Vitamins(Niacin in particular).About 9 mg of Niacin and 1.14ug of riboflavin is present
Amino acids like Valine,Isoleucine,Threonine,Tryptophan,Metheonine are present
Polyphenols present in the formulation act as natural Anti-oxidants.
