PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Senior Design Engineer : Intel Corporation : October 2000 – Present
Working as a Sr. Design Engineer at Intel Corporation, Folsom, California since 2000 and went through many successful projects. Responsibilities included but not limited to were: perform highly specialized design/research/analysis on a project-by-project basis, provide advice regarding electrical rule compliance, create/design economically feasible study, perform quality assurance and control, coordinate design with other departments/outside agencies/contractors/consultants, direct/prepare/review/approve design specifications/making modifications and recommending alternatives as needed, the design of chip layout, circuit design, circuit checking, device evaluation and characterization, documentation of specifications, prototype construction and checkout, modification and evaluation of semiconductor devices and components, performing developmental and/or test work, reviewing product requirements and logic diagrams, planning and organizing design projects or phases of design projects, developing solutions to problems, responding to customer/client requests or events as they occur, developing solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.
Electrical Engineer: Internship and Projects, (January, 1995 – October, 1997)
Power Development Board, Dhaka, Bangladesh:
Worked on the load flow analysis of the power distribution system for the capital of Bangladesh. Work through problems and contribute to the success of implementing new project, enhancement and performance of the system. Improve the market technology quality and availability by helping to improve variance distribution techniques, planning to supply and balance load sharing in different zones of the city.
Worked on the Load flow solution for Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) network by software’s 'CYM-FLOW' and ‘CYM-BASE’. That includes the below analysis for a huge city networks.
Graduate Teaching Assistant :The University of Texas at Arlington : January 2000 – September 2000
Teaching undergrad students on electrical power, machine, electronics and control courses.
Gave demo in machine labs, review reports, projects and assignments. Install and troubleshoot course and lab software, flows and tools.
System Engineer : DRIK ISP : March 1998 – December 1998
ISP system administrator for internet network.
OS and software installation, troubleshoot and hardware maintenance. Guide junior technicians and web page designers.
■ Analyzes networks with thousands of buses and branches ■ Simultaneous solution for islanded networks ■ Detailed equipment modeling of induction and synchronous motors, variable frequency drives, bus ways and all necessary network elements for an accurate representation of the network ■ Synchronous generator ■ Local or remote control of voltage and reactive power flow through tap changing transformers ■ Phase angle shift transformer with active power control • Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) ■ Capacitors with the following control types: voltage, current, reactive current, reactive power, power factor, temperature and time-controlled ■ Scaling factors applied to the generators and to the loads on the whole network or by zone ■ Five limit categories for nominal, planning, emergency loading or any user-defined criteria ■ User-defined units for bus voltages, generator productions and branch flows on both one-line diagrams and tabular reports.
