Objective: Seeking a position in a comfortable family atmosphere where I can enjoy utilizing my years of experience working in a veterinary clinic, as well as my love for people and animals at the same time.
I have extensive experience working in a busy veterinary office answering a high volume of incoming calls, routing calls and taking messages. I understand the importance of listening carefully to each client explain the signs of illness in order to determine if it’s an emergency and how severe an emergency it is. I am able to answer many questions for clients over the phone to avoid taking up the doctor’s and technician’s valuable time to ask questions My goal is to make each client feel important, and small things like learning their names and recognizing them upon entering the building are very important to me. I have meticulous attention to detail, I am an efficient worker, skilled at multitasking, possess high level of professionalism, excellent customer service and organizational skills, and am a dedicated team player.
Experience:
Greeted clients and their pets with enthusiasm, or if they came in for an unfortunate circumstance I offered sympathy and understanding
Answered phones in a high call volume environment, scheduled appointments, checked in clients and took detailed notes regarding reason for appointments;
Placed clients in exam room;
Posted doctors’ charges, filled prescriptions and charged client out after appointment
Although most of my time was spent working the front office, I did complete 1 year of tech school and spent the first 2 years of my employment as a kennel attendant and then a veterinary assistant. This allowed me to also be proficient at veinipuncture, administering injections and vaccinations, placing catheters, expressing anal glands, nail trims, ear flushing, grooming, restraint as well as general back office assistance
Understand the importance of excellent customer service
Proficient in Avimark Veterinary Software
