RF ENGINEERING:

Handling optimization of new sites, antenna selection and problems & carrying out optimization & Radio Frequency (RF) acceptance testing.

Knowledge in optimization of various GSM / UMTS & LTE parameters.

Attending Customer complaints and solving their issues.

Border drive between two states.(Chennai & ROTN).

Bench mark & Trai drive for both 2G, 3G for Single operator & Multi-operator.

Optimization, SCFT, Cluster Drive & Critical Route Drive Done.

TESTING:

Configuring & manually testing software applications to develop test cases according to Test Plan.

Testing, tuning and debugging the kits and components to meet specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

As RF Drive Test Engineer

GSM:

Conducting RF Audit to verify the planned location, azimuths, feeder swap, tilts, handovers and defining neighbors list.

Conducting drive Test to find the coverage of the network and to verify different parameters such as Rx level, Rx quality, Cell ID, LAC, BSIC, HSN and MAIO as per defined by the operator.

Analyzing the drive test conducted to find the causes of the call drops, blocked calls, handover failures, poor quality, poor C/I and other interferences.

UMTS:

Monitored RSCP, Ec/Io.

Finding out Pilot Pollution and removed by doing some Physical Optimization.

Monitor and analyze the statistical drive test data to improve system performance syndicators such as drop calls, block calls, origination failures & handoff features.

Evaluating the effectiveness of network by regular Voice& Video Drive Tests, Data Drive Tests & its post analysis, remedial measures which include optimization of sites.

LTE:

SCFT (Single Cell Functional Test) and CLOT (Cluster Optimization) Activity all over Tamil Nadu for 2300 MHz-TDD (Band3-20 MHz) and 1800 MHz-FDD (Band40-5 MHz).

All sites should pass SCFT according to the KPI standard set by the customer and get accepted by the customer.

Cluster drives to be carried for the SCFT accepted sites and make these clusters to get pass according the KPI standard set by the customer and get accepted.

Doing pre check (physical data, Health check up) and verifying golden parameter before starting the cluster drives.

Analyzing & Trouble shooting for failed KPI’s (VOLTE, DL/UL low throughput, HO fail,etc..) and get it resolved by coordinating with various department.

As RF Planning & Optimization Engineer:

Coordinate all DT engineering related tasks for Optimization, SCFT, Cluster Drive & Customer Complaints and other hardware deployment.

Provides support and expertise for Implementation of Telecom Networks.

Deploy and troubleshoot all types of Telecom Devices/Network Elements.

Implement communications architecture for all types of customers.

Provide quality support for customers and respond to customer requests on time.

Open tickets to track and document resolution of problems for the voice and data networks.

Publishing report on Daily basis, Monthly reports of the performance.

Verifies service by testing, equipment, and alarms, identifying, correcting, or escalating problem

Giving suggestions for the Cluster Optimization.

Analyze & giving suggestions for the issues which we are getting from the field, and doing the Cluster Optimization successfully by meeting the requirement.

Report generating-

Exporting log file and making reports according to the requirement using TEMS,NEMO,Xcal, AZENQOS & EMF Broadband Testing.

Exporting quality plots, level plots using MAP INFO PROFESSIONAL.

Make report and Post Processing and analyzing call drops, call setup failure etc.
