To obtain a position in a renowned organization and to enhance my knowledge and skill set.
Education:
Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore May 2014 - Dec 2015
Master of Science in Information Systems
Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, India June 2009 - May 2013
Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology
Graduated in Information Systems Engineering. Majored in tracks Software Engineering and Systems Engineering.
Secured an overall CGPA of 3.55/4.0
Work Experience:
Graduate Assistant at Hopkins (H.E.M.I – Department) 29th, May 2015 – 15th, December 2015
Where I helped Professor Nitin Daphalapurkar with several aspects of his research work, which includes:
1.Python scripts to convert the data into required format (Ex: plot files to csv or data) and to implement different algorithms for analyzing the raw data.
2.Uploading and modifying the data using Microsoft SQLServer 2008 on a database called FRAGDATA that is on currently on a Hopkins server node scitest02.pha.jhu.edu.
3.Version control of my code regularly on Git-Hub
4.Using I python Notebook to plot and analyze different kinds of data. Using My SQL to upload, delete, manipulate and update data.
5.Developing a website using WordPress, AJAX, JQuery JavaScript and HTML 5 for showcasing the research work of my Professor. Link to the website http://engineering.jhu.edu/drlab/sample-page/ .
6.Developed scripts to interact with a server API to display images on the website.
7.Also coming up with different algorithms and different kind of applications to help us achieve various objectives of analyzing the raw data. And Visualization of the data using different kinds of plotting techniques using I python Notebook.
Skill Set:
Programming in C++, and Java, Python, using Matplotlib in Python for visualization. Experience with Numpy, Pandas and Scipy and Ipython Notebook for scientific computing. Algorithms analysis and Design, Strong knowledge of System Development Life Cycles (SDLC), Basic Principles of Networking and Network Security. Learnt UML (Unified Modelling Language), SysML(System Modelling Language), MS Visio.
IDE: Enthought Canopy, Pycharm, Xcode, Eclipse.
DBMS (Database Management System), MySQL, Microsoft SQL server, PL/SQL.
WEB-TECHNOLOGIES: WordPress, HTML5, BOOTSTRAP, AJAX, JQuery, JavaScript, XML, XSL. Also worked with LAMP, WAMP server.
Operating Systems: Windows 7/XP, Mac OS, Linux, Version control of code using Github and Bitbucket
Object Oriented Programming: learnt fundamental principles of object-oriented modeling, requirements development, analysis, and design. Dealt in depth with object-oriented analysis approaches, including dynamic and static modeling with the Unified Modeling Language (UML v2); object-oriented design; object-oriented reuse, including design patterns; and software implementation concerns. Also learnt Systems Modeling Language (SysML), Object-Oriented Systems Engineering Methodology (OOSEM), managing object-oriented projects, and the Object Constraint Language (OCL).
Object oriented programming with c ++: Coded and developed the Blackjack game in C++ as a mini project. Also done several equally challenging weekly assignments. Learnt the C++ Design patterns.
Introduction to Systems Engineering: Worked on project documentation of analyzing the behavior and working of complex Information systems and also applied several software and systems engineering life cycles and models to analyze this project
Foundations of Information Systems engineering: Worked on a project in a team of five and developing a documentation design for a wearable computing platform (a-la Google Glass, I watch, etc.) To help a user find a restaurant and make a reservation.
Foundations of Software Engineering: Developed the board game Clueless for online play using Python. There are 3 teams Client, Client-AI and Server. I worked on the server to develop the server side of the application.
Foundations of Algorithms: Learnt several algorithms and techniques to analyze them such as recursion and mathematical induction, algorithm analysis and computational complexity (recurrence relations, big-O notation, NP-completeness), sorting and searching, design paradigms (divide and conquer, greedy heuristic, dynamic programming, amortized analysis), and graph algorithms (depth-first and breadth-first search, connectivity, minimum spanning trees, network flow).
