• Research, evaluate, identify, analyze, design, recommend and accomplish new methods and technology to optimize production performance and quality of products, production equipment, maximize productivity and minimize operating expenses
• Monitor, control and optimize the operational conditions of process and production parameters, modify operating parameters and respond quickly to operational challenges to ensure a high-quality product with site requirements
• Recognize abnormal operating conditions of equipment and operational problems, analyze information, evaluate results to choose the best solution, solve problems and accomplish necessary adjustments
• Assist in improving production control systems, standard operating procedures, safety, and quality control
• Monitor and inspect plant equipment to detect equipment malfunctions and to ensure plant equipment is operating at maximum efficiency and perform corrective action and minor repairs as required
• Oversee, support and prioritize maintenance work of manufacturing unit, prepare the plant for restart and conduct start-up and commissioning activities
• Supervise day-to-day activities of the assigned department, adjust employee work schedules and perform employee performance appraisals
• Perform production operation in a safe and compliant manner with minimal impact on the environment
• Enforce health and safety programs for protection of staff and respond to health and safety concerns
• Assist in the development and deployment of engineering system processes
