I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from College of Engineering, Guindy, Chennai, India.
I have over 42 years work experience in the Marine & Offshore (Oil & Gas) Industry off which over 20 years is in the Offshore (Oil & Gas) Industry with Drill ships, DP2 –Multipurpose Construction Vessels, AHTSs, Pipe Lay Barges, Derrick Lay Barges & FPSOs.
I have worked in various capacities, starting as ship’s Chief Engineer, Superintendent, Technical Manager, Fleet Manager, Lead Marine Engineer, Marine Construction Manager, Marine Engineering Manager, Overall Construction Manager, and Engineering Manager & Project Manager in both Marine & Offshore projects. I have a very long, wide & varied experience in various types of projects.
I have combined survival/ fire-fighting/HUET, which is valid till June 2014.
I have experience in both short as well as long term contracts ranging from 4 weeks to 24 months.
I have worked in Singapore as well as overseas in the SE Asian Region as well as the Middle East.

Engaged by GMOS/PETROFINAZ a Malaysian based Project Management Company as Lead Marine Engineer for the conversion of a partly converted FPSO to a full fledged FPSO, for Clients NIPPON OIL & PETRONAS in the SARAWAK Field in Layang.
I was seconded to THHE (Tabung Haji Heavy Engg Bhd-Kuala Lumpur) who are the owner’s of the vessel for this FPSO conversion work.
Headed the Marine team as the Lead Marine Engineer. Developed the completed Marine Work Scope and complete refurbishment, upgrade, conversion as well as preparing specs for all new Marine Equipment for systems like:
Cargo System
Ballast System
Steam System including new boilers.
Cargo & Ballast Hydraulic System
IG System
Fire Water & Foam System.
Bilge System.
Crude Oil Washing System.
Living Quarters.

OCS Services provides support services to second largest operator in the world operating over 14 FPSOs, one FSO & one FDPSO. Scope is to provide services like life cycle extension on operating FPSOs. Carry out steel renewals on-board, change out complete F&G piping, install pig launcher, install new Water injection piping, renew ballast piping, remove and install new FWG and piping on operating FPSOs (in West Africa). Upgrade & Replacement of the PAGA & F&G E&I systems on board operating FPSOs in areas like West Africa.
June 2011 to August 2012:- (1 year & 2 months)
Worked as Project Manager with PETROFAC in Singapore for the vessel FPSO Opportunity (Ex-Cossack Pioneer). My responsibility was to do a detailed FEED and come up with and ITB for the shipyards and top side process module specialists, to refurbish, upgrade, re-instate class, test and commission the entire system and vessel and bring it back to its original specifications and design.

Worked as a freelance Marine & Offshore Consultant for MSI Malaysia, to carry out inspection of a fleet of FPSOs, DP3 FPSO, two tankers (candidates for conversion to an FPSO), owned by RUBICON International, Singapore. Submitted evaluation of the vessels to MSI and KENCANA for a potential acquisition by KENCANA.

Engaged as Lead Marine Engineer during the conversion phase of Two FPSOs (Rubicon Intrepid & Rubicon Vantage) in a Singapore yard and thereafter assumed the role of Equipment & Maintenance Manager with Rubicon when the vessels were operating in field in Philippines & Thailand.
