Graduate Teaching Assistant at University of North Carolina at Charlotte, NC, USA August 2015 – May 2016
Responsibilities include teaching labs to undergraduate students for programming and solving their queries.
Created interactive lab questions for each topic to help students understand the concepts in a better way.

Software Engineer at Tech Mahindra Ltd., India June 2011 – June 2014
Worked as part of the development team on an Identity and Access Provisioning application for a banking client. The web application maintains profiles of each user and manages the accesses that the user has over different in-house applications. Users could request access for specific resources through the application with the help of their corresponding managers and the request would go through a workflow before the access was granted or rejected.
Responsibilities as a developer involved designing modules and development using JAVA/J2EE with Spring and Hibernate frameworks. Used Oracle database for persistence and developed some features using Pl/SQL. Developed the UI using JSP, CSS and JavaScript. Also developed scripts in UNIX shell to read and import files into the database.
Other responsibilities included liaising with business analysts and support teams for analyzing requirements and ensuring quality delivery.
Academic Projects
Android Mobile Applications
Developed more than 10 apps in Java using Android Studio (API level 22). Code for each of them is available on GitHub.
Weather App
Built an app to take city name and state initials from the user and display the hourly weather data using real time data extracted using XML Pull Parser for parsing the data from Weather Underground API with the help of a worker thread and stored the required information into local database using SQLite.
Used intents to pass messages between activities and HTTP connection to access the internet.
Internship Tracking System
Designed a normalized relational database and implemented database in MySQL for Internship Tracking System.
Developed the front-end in HTML5 and CSS and used PHP for server-side programming.
Researchers Exchange Participations System
Researchers Exchange Participation is a platform is to encourage researchers participate in each other’s user studies.
Developed this application using MVC pattern where JavaBeans was used to implement business layer model, JSP pages for view and Servlet pages to control the flow of the application.
