ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY HANDLED

Estimation and Costing

Verification, Understanding of Tender Documents Technical Specifications & drawings. Material take off & preparing item Rate for individual items as per the schedule of items mentioned in tenders by considering necessary Basic Rate, Discount, Excise Duty, Sales Tax, Labor rate and profit etc.

Sending and receiving the enquirers, quotations.

Attending to tender negotiations meetings includes suggestions and reviewing the total Project Costing by offering the discount on quoted rates individually.

Project Planning and execution

Evaluating the Contract documents, verifying the Engineering Design for all the Air conditioning Systems with respect to Project Specifications, Applicable Standards and Local Regulations.

Reviewing the design drawing, specification and implementing for Preparation of construction drawings by guiding the Auto CAD Draftsman for the preparation of ducting/piping/plant room drawings for the consultants’ approval

Preparation of material submittals for the consultant’s approval, along with review of the drawings to ensure confirmatory design as per the obtained quotations from the consultant or client.

Preparation of Heating Load Calculation in accordance to the Building survey following the ASHRAE & CARRIER Codes.

Selection of Chillers, Cooling Towers, Chilled water pumps, Expansion Tank, coil selection, Air handling Units, Fresh air Handling Units, Exhaust fans for car park ventilation & Mechanical ventilation for kitchen and garbage, Fan Coil Unit and air curtains.

Duct Design following the SMACNA or DW 144/154 Codes Standards. Selection of grills and diffusers, G.I. Sheet quantity, Sheet Gauges. Hangers and Supports, selection of Volume Control Dampers, Fire Dampers, selection of Sound Attenuators,

Selection of Air Handling Unit (AHU) Blowers with External static Pressure and stairwell pressurization calculation.

Pipe Sizing, Selection of Control valves for Manual/Automatic BMS systems, etc., along with the preparation of drawings with standard connections of Equipments, RISER schematic Drawings of Chilled Water System, Pump Head Calculations, Installation detail.

Attending the project award meeting with Architects/ Clients, negotiate with vendors to choose most economical vendor who meets all the project requirements.

Identifying the Problems with Analytical Solutions if any,

Material Planning by the efficient utilization of the available raw material and ordering the required material at regular intervals.

Responsible for initiating on site quality control inspections and ensuring that the quality of material /material installation of work in accordance with the acceptance criteria identified for the project. Liaise with QA/QC department for inspection.

Daily reporting and overseeing the actual progress of construction.

Pre commissioning, Testing and commissioning of all installed Equipments based on the parameters provided by manufacture/supplier.

Making complete system handing over and collecting the final bill.

Project Co-ordination

Co-ordinate with the other Engineering disciplines on all aspects during the development of works to ensure the confirmatory design to other services about our requirement by issuing proper technical content.

Coordination with main contractor’s civil team regarding all aspects and clearance of MEP work at site.

Co-ordinate with electrical engineers for containments, Panel’s for air conditioning equipments and controls/integration with fire alarm system for Building management system.

Main initiator to give clearances to main contractor.

To Manage all site installation and coordination of all MEP works during execution phase, to provide safe working environment and resolving day to day technical issues at site with supervisor/foremen.

Equipments materials for avoiding mitigating effect.
