Trailer Mechanic

Transervice - Melrose Park, IL - February 2015 to March 2016 Sub-Contracted to work on Jewel-Osco owned trailers. Maintained a fleet of about 500+ trailers. As a paid Journeymen in a union shop, Work included performing periodic PMs and FMCSA inspections. Repairs included but were not limited to : Replacement of brakes, slack adjusters, brake chambers, cam bushings and "s" cams. Replacement of brake valves and air lines. Repairs to roller up doors including whiting, todco and roador. Welding and fabricating parts to fit specific need. Frame repair and crossmember and Icc repairs and replacement. Troubleshoot electrical issues and abs issues. Minor maintenance on refer units such as PMs and unit swap outs.
