ANESTHESIA AND INTENSIVE CARE UNIT SKILLS:

I have undergone the following anesthesia skills on my own:

• Direct patient communication taking into account the patient religious and cultural believes and respecting their right to medical privacy and dignity at all time

• Doing preoperative visiting of the patient and ensuring that all problems and critical points are treated and explained it to the patient.

• Helping and installing anesthesia plans according to types of surgery.

• Professional ability of insertion and installing different cannulation of the patient with regard to age and case.

• Administration of all anesthesia medication.

• Ability to insert and perform a different technique in endotracheal intubation according to procedural surgery.

• Ability to diagnose and manage different types of intra and post operative complications.

• Experienced in the induction of different kind of anesthesia like spinal nerve block.

• Continuous monitoring of the patient during intra and post operative period.

INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (ICU) SKILLS:

• Sharing my plans with ICU physician to optimize maximum life saving of the patient’s safety.

• Evaluation of patient admitted to ICU and estimation of mortality and morbidity rate.

• Oxygen therapy and determine the appropriate oxygen therapy devices in connection to ICU cases.

• Determine the patient’s need for endotracheal tube and care during insertion until extubation.

• Weaning and post weaning monitoring

• Continuous monitoring of patient vital signs either by monitors or vigilance.

• Arterial cannulation and sample taking for Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) investigation.

• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation as a member of CPR team
