Plant Manager

Effectively oversaw all operations in the Primary Machining Department and Tool Crib. Optimized the floor set-up based on the machine layout, jobs to be completed and team members scheduled to work during a given shift.

Key Accomplishments:

Accurately pulled tooling required for jobs delivering them to the appropriate machine set-up and operator.

Tracked inventory levels, reordering tools and supplies through the Purchasing Dept. as needed.

Regularly requested material issues to machines for jobs from the stockroom.

Issued tool drawings to the tool maker and performed final inspection ensuring 100% accuracy.

Accurately cut new cams for layouts. Additionally, performed touch-up work or replaced cams as needed.

Liaised with the QA Dept. diligently working to cure any quality issues as they arose. Also followed Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) ensuring quality and accuracy.

Mentored and trained plant employees in plant processes and protocols across multiple departments.

Credited with the introduction and implementation of the hydraulic work field, which dramatically ramped production, increasing output and driving sales.

Instituted a machine maintenance and repair log that improved efficiency and communication among departments.

Monitored and posted daily production efficiencies as well as weekly, monthly and quarterly reports issued to the President and other key stakeholders. Reports were subsequently compared to previous quarterly and YOY numbers.
