Master Projects
SDN Shadow Macs:
The objective of the project was to implement End-to-End multipathing in Software Defined Networks through Shadow MAC addresses as labels in place of the actual MAC address fields. We plan to achieve this by using Floodlight controller and Proxy ARP module for Floodlight controller in Linux OS using VMware.
In current Software Defined Networks where routes are updated frequently, packets are misrouted or dropped accordingly. In order to improve efficiency, the researchers were looking for a viable method which does not depend on limited TCAM table space. This can be done by making the controller respond to ARP requests with gratuitous ARP responses where the response is the Shadow MAC label of the route.
Cluster Computing:
Analysis of cluster computing by installation of high throughput computing software HTCondor on cluster of seven Raspberry Pi’s in Linux Platform. Successfully submitted jobs on one node and executed them on another in the cluster to reduce the load on one particular node achieving quality of service.
In cluster computing any node can submit jobs and execute on any executing nodes in condor pool. In this way it utilizes all resources in a condor pool. Power consumption and time improve as we will increase number of nodes in condor pool for multiple jobs. In a sensor network a sensor node compute thousands of jobs and they have thousands of nodes. By increasing the numbers of nodes in cluster achieved the power consumption and latency, of one Linux machine.
Remote Server Alerts Based Driver Fatigue Detection Using Mobile Application:
The objective was to develop a highly efficient system aimed at early detection and alert of dangerous vehicle maneuvers typically related to Truck driver fatigue and send it to the remote Dell PowerEdge servers using the Json Object in Java and Python.
Using the data from Mobile Orientation Sensors Fusion(of Accelerometer, Gyroscope, and Magnetometer using Complimentary filter JAVA code) Readings, we can calculate Inappropriate Steering Patterns like weaving and swaying, duration of driving and send a log of the driver record to the Company Remote Server(using a Json object code to the server).
