TITLE: ATTACHMENT OF TOOL POST GRINDER IN LATHE

DESCRIPTION: We a crew of 4 members did a mini project in third year i.e., Design and Fabrication of the attachment of tool post grinder in lathe. It is a portable grinding machine that can be mounted on the compound rest of a lathe in the tool post. The tool post grinder is capable of performing both internal diameter grinding and external diameter grinding. The motor used is 3 phase AC induction motor. For clamping the motor mild steel materials are used. It is a cost reduction process.

TITLE: DESIGN AND ANLYSIS OF COMPOSITE BUMPER

DESCRIPTION: As a part of my curriculum we a crew of three members had done our final year project in Design and Analysis of composite Bumper. In our project we replaced existing steel bumper with composite bumper. The reinforcement material used is glass fibre reinforced polymer which reduces the weight of the bumper. The bumper reinforcement is modelled using the software solid works and analysed using software ansys. Compared to steel bumper, the composite bumper is found to have 64% higher factor of safety and 80% less in cost.

WORKING EXPERIENCE

Worked as Graduate Engineer Trainee(GET) in STEEL STRIPS WHEELS LTD.A-10 SIPCOT,Oragadam,Chennai for an period of 43days from (11-05-2016 to 24-06-2016).

Worked in quality department in inspecting steel wheel passenger car rim’s,disc and assembled wheels ensuring that no defect product are being sent to the custormers.

Have inspected car wheels models such as “HYUNDAI-BA,HYUNDAI-GS,JLR,BMW UKL,VW-AMAROK,VW-POLO,M&M 3RD GEN,W201(conical &spherical),RENAULT(H79),ALCAR- LODDGY(J92),PSA(B78),NISSAN (K2-2ROW,K2-3ROW),HONDA(KWPG).

Gained knowledge about the disc process, rim process, assembly and the various defects that occurs in wheels.
