Project: “Message Oriented Middleware for Chartered Accountants”

Project Scope The project is used to take payroll module of companies and check investment of employees and calculate their tax.

Responsibilities In this project we have design form which take employee details from payroll of the company, and then the Tax was calculated according to rules mentioned by the IT Dept. After that report was generated which contains all the income details of employee, their investment and net payable tax. We have used ASP.Net and C# (.Net Framework 4.5) and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2.

Key Learning Gained an insight into the working and observed corporate behavior from a very close distance and understood its role and importance.

ACADEMIC PROJECT

Project: “An Efficient EDGE Based Technique for Text Detection in an Image”

Project Scope Both graphic text and scene text detection in images with complex background and low resolution is a challenging and interesting problem in the field of image processing and computer vision. In this Project, we did an Implementation (of a Research Paper) which deals with the above mentioned problem.

Responsibilities In this project, we implemented a novel technique for text in images by finding segments containing text in an input image and then using statistical features such as vertical and horizontal bars for edges in the segments for detecting true text blocks efficiently.

Key Learning We used MATLAB as the Tool for implementation of multiple Image Processing Algo-

-rithms and took help from the technical person of the Institute and we have learnt much in this process.
