C-FAR Services LLC, Marmora, NJ – Responsibilities include:

C-FAR is a consulting firm with a 5 year FAA government contract to support the facilities division. Our team supports the government in all aspects of work from cost estimates, writing scopes of work and specifications, sending out bid packages, supervises construction and final inspection reports. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: High/low voltage system design and maintenance, switchgear design, replacement and upgrade, fiber optic installation, fire protection and alarm system, UPS backup design, cost savings programs, green power design, HVAC support, lighting design, roof replacement, lightening protection systems, security control system support and cable system support.

Principal Electrical Engineering November 2009 – September 2011

Network Systems Engineering, Mt Laurel, NJ – Responsibilities include:

NSEC is a consulting firm that designs security systems for nuclear power plants. Install fiber optic back bone, NSMART and IVMS controlled redundant systems using microwave detection technology. Responsible for power distribution, voltage drop and cable fill calculations, conduit and cable layouts, pull slips, block diagrams, and control systems design.

Manager Electrical Engineering February 1996 - June 2009

C&D Technologies, Blue Bell, PA – Responsibilities include:

Performing all the traditional tasks endemic to strategizing and implementing many procedures designed to economically increase production, cut costs, maximize safety, enhance quality control, and conform to existing local, state, and federal codes (OSHA & EPA etc). Responsible to manage and visit plants located in New York, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Georgia, Wisconsin, and Mexico. Tasks encompass planning, coordinating, evaluating and delegating work assignments in collaboration with all plant managers, sub-contractors, engineers, consultants, vendors, and plant personnel. Prepare budgets schedules and monitor progress of expansion projects; write specifications for new equipment, startups, and coordinating relocation and closing of facilities. Designed one of a kind equipment to automate production. Act in a leadership capacity as a coach and mentor in building a “team” of professionals. Manage a staff of over 60 employees. Responsible for designing all power distribution for five plants. Send monthly reports to corporate management apprising them of progress of manufacturing techniques, install Kanban systems and used Lean manufacturing techniques such as 5S, Quick Changeover and One Piece Flow. Have created and installed methodologies using Six Sigma techniques.

Accomplishments: Utilization of cited concepts increased productivity, reduced scrap, and saved the company approximately $150,000 annually. Designed control systems, energy audit of power bills, implemented energy cost savings programs that saved $200,000 in electrical energy. Implemented a data acquisition system to monitor battery charging reducing workforce by 150k/yr. Installed power generators for power load peak shaving to reduce energy cost.

Responsible for the design of induction melting equipment including control systems, logic controllers (Allen Bradley and Modicon), alarm and circuit protection, hydraulic systems and position control, water cooling systems control, and high resolution weight and feeder systems.
