Skills Used
Leadership skills were utilized daily. I was responsible for all performance evaluations and any discipline action needed. I maintained a positive workplace environment and ensure my employees were well taken care of. I created countless excel spreadsheets to keep track of inventory, finances, parts needed for our utility vehicle build, and all damage product that came into our warehouse. I was responsible for meeting daily deadlines. We had a long time employee leave us without notice and I had to fill her position. I did not receive any formal

Through countless hours of studying and phone calls to our customer, I became solid in this function, enabling me to properly train two employees to take over this job. If I was short a worker or our workload was larger due to end of month or end of year pushes, I world roll my sleeves up and man a forklift to help my team pull and stage items for the next day of shipping. This reduced the amount of union complaints by 97% within one year of me being there. I turned around a $45,000.00 budget shortfall that I inherited when I took over the logistics department and through load consolidations and proper staff reduction along with the constant monitoring of the employees hours, the budget short fall was turned into a $375,000.00 surplus within one calendar year.
