Project Name : To customize weigh feeder for 36” belt width

Customer : Thermofisher scientific.

Platform : Solid works 2014 / AutoCAD 2014

Role : Design engineer

Description : To customize the existing weigh feeder from 42” belt width to 36” belt width, the top level assembly consists of totally 29 sub-assemlies and 240 parts. Input is Autocad GA drawing. Competed the project and got appreciations from customer.

Project Name : SWAX sampler 700 series redesign for 36”, 42”, 48” 52” belt width

Customer : Thermofisher scientific.

Platform : Solid works 2014 / AutoCAD 2014

Role : Design engineer

Description : To reduce the material usage on swax sampler 700 series. Eliminated unwanted structurals in the sampler for all the sizes, suppoorting legs design changed, Top hood and the discharge hood design changed so that the usage of sheet metals is been reduced. The enitre equipment weights reduced from 1360 lbs to 180 lbs for 36” belt width. The same applies for all the other sizes and the weight reduction by 110 kgs to 130 kgs

Project Name : To design Deverter gate assembly for 12”, 16” 18” 20” 24” 32” & 36” for Impact scale.

Customer : Thermo scientific.

Platform : Solid works 2014 / AutoCAD 2014.

Role : Design engineer

Description : To design diverter gate assembly for 7 diffenrent sizes with the given GA drawing for the existing assembly having different sizes. The project completed on time and the customer appriciated me for the efforts; we did not receive even a single markup on this project also this project completed under first pass yield category.

OEM : Volkswagen (Beetle, Vento, Passat)

Role : Design Engineer

Description : This project involved the Design of Radiator Fan Module (RFM).The Bottom casing with 2 male connector having 14 pin set and 4 pin set respectively, slots has to design in such a way the Female connectors has to fit perfectly in all aspects. And the upper housing has the snap fit to hold its entire Assembly (I.e.) PCB and its Accessories, the latest update from the customer is to change the relay mountings on the PCB itself, hence we Re-designed the entire casing by altering the Ribs to increase the strength of the structures and achieve the max space to accommodate all the electronic items including relays with New mounting pitch. Design approved by the customer and RPT was successful. Appreciation by the customer for modifications applied in plastic part.

Project No 2 : Plastic Connector 3D design and Development for Anti Pinch Power Window Slider motor in Cars

Role : Design Engineer

Description : This project involved the design of Connectors for Power window motors in cars. The Electronic connectors are re-engineered and the connectors are complex shapes which are indented via 2d Scanning and importing into solid works and it’s traced back to 3d model. 3 types of connectors are modeled. Since the connector is a plastic molded part, hence we extensively used Cavity feature to generate the Pin routings. And the RPT was successfully made and I was personally awarded by the customer for designing

Description : Secure Raceways need to be redesigned for regular inspection and easy identification of any foreign particles. As per the technical document various activities for Design development like product understanding, market requirements and Bench marking were carried upon. For both TEE and ELBOW models, various concepts were proposed for economical manufacturing process and reduced the number of components involved in the assembly which reflected in the cost reduction.
