“Designing and Manufacturing of Delta Robot with Cost Estimation” ( June 2013- August 2014)
The aim of the project was to design, manufacture and cost estimation of customized Delta robots for pick and place purposes for gearbox assembly lines. The delta robot was designed using kinematic analysis (i.e. inverse kinematics and forward kinematics) and by performing tensile, shearing, bending etc. strength tests. Mistake proofing was implemented into the design and manufacturing was done with the help of CNC lathe and milling machines.
Implementation of Lean manufacturing to production line of gearbox housing for Suzuki car.
The aim of the project was to reduce the lead time by 20% with the use of various lean manufacturing tools such as motion time studies, proper work shift scheduling with the help of current calculated TAKT time and use of DFSS tools such as design of experiment and FMEA and KANBAN cards to reduce the waste and improve sigma level of production. After converting the production line to a lean production line, the productivity was increased from 1000 parts per day to 1200 parts per day.
Layout planning and Re-design of a production line for silicon wafers packets.
The aim of the project was to increase the current production capacity from 10 million to 17.5 million silicon wafer packets with the help of Lanner WITNESS 14 and ARENA simulation tools by improving the current production layout and designing the work shifts of various workers.
Friction analysis in cold forming processes
Performed an analysis, studied extensively, published a paper and presented several seminars on topic “Friction analysis in cold forming processes” in Pune University, India.
