Client : Saudi Railway Organization- Western Operation Area (WOA), Jeddah-KSA

Project : EPC of full turn-key Construction of New Haramain High Speed Railway and JDC

380/110/33/13.8 KV Substation Projects at Makkah and Jeddah(KSA) respectively.

Reporting To : Project Manager-SEC (WOA), Jeddah-Saudi Arabia.

Job Responsibilities:

Working as a Telecom Project Consultant to Saudi Electricity Company (SEC EHV division for WOA), the job includes but not limited to the Planning/Scheduling, coordination with Engineering Design & services, approval, Quality control and overall supervision of Telecom Network Planning, Installation, Operation, Testing and Commissioning at new HHR and JDC 380/110/33/13.8 KV Substations and their integration with existing SEC Telecom Network Management Systems. Responsibilities are-

Review the vendor documents submittal and drawings in the proposals stage, issue inquiry requisitions, review techno-commercial vendor offers, prepare equipment and material estimates

Carrying out detailed engineering works and provide necessary technical information for procurement in compliance with tender specifications/data sheets and within budgeted man-hour and project schedules.

Coordinate with all other departments’ activities that are related to Project operations and comply with safety rules and regulations.

Supervising Telecommunication systems Installation, configuration, testing and end to end commissioning (with remote ends- of SDH (STM-16, SEIMENS make Upgradable to STM-64) fiber optics communication network system including Teleprotection signaling equipment (SIEMENS and ABB),Line protection panels(SIEMENS,ABB relays), Media Converters(SIEMENS,ABB), SAS/SCADA etc and its Integration with existing Telecom N/W of SEC.

Installation, testing and commissioning of OSP/ISP Telecom systems like PABX network, LAN/WAN system, PDS system, Security and surveillance telecom systems(IPCCTV, PAGA) etc

Supervising the Close loop tests (Internal & external with SEC-WRCC) of 380/110/33/13.8 KV systems through Substation Automation System (SAS).

Working in parallel with Transmission Line Team to terminate the fiber for its splicing in joint boxes on gantry.

Power System (Solar Power System with Intelligent system controller, Rectifiers, DC-DC convertors, UPS, Batteries, Diesel Generators & Fuel tanks, Cad welded Electrical Earthing Network etc.)

Managing the project teams for project execution, preparation for system specification, layouts, Network architecture, Document preparation, SAT & FAT, testing and commissioning etc.

Handling the RFI on project work done according to PTS, SEC and Major International standards and codes.

Formulating & implementing internal reporting systems for monitoring quality.

Interacting with client through e-mails and calls to review and resolve operational issues.

Managing and resolving the Punch List points related to project.

Attending weekly and monthly project progress meeting with contractors and vendors and discuss problems and giving solution to them.
