Michigan Tech’s Open Sustainability Technology Research Group, Michigan Technological University Jan 2015- Present Graduate Research Assistant, Conway Fellow

U.S. Market Analysis for Solar Photovoltaic plug-and-play systems Jan 2016- Present Provided an estimate of the new U.S. market for plug and play PV systems if such regulations are updated by investigating personal financial decision making for Americans. The potential savings for the prosumer are mapped for the U.S. over a range of scenarios.

A Review of Technical Requirements that Enable Plug-and-Play Solar Photovoltaic May 2015- Dec2016 Micro-inverter Systems in the United States.

Reviewed the relevant codes and standards from the National Electric Code, local jurisdictions and utilities for PV with a specific focus on plug-and-play solar and also reviewed the compliance of commercially available micro-inverters and alternating current (AC) modules to these standards. This study also provides a streamlined application for installation of plug and play solar PV systems with only technical requirements and free and open source software to ease utility implementation.

Levelized Cost of Electricity for Solar Photovoltaic, Battery and Cogen Hybrid Systems Jan 2015-May 2015 Provided a new method of quantifying the economic viability of off-grid PV+battery+CHP hybrid systems by calculating the LCOE of the technology.

Performance of U.S. Hybrid Distributed Energy Systems: Solar Photovoltaic, Battery and Jan 2015-May 2015 Combined Heat and Power

Designed an off-grid PV+CHP+Battery hybrid system in order to fulfil a residential load demand for various geographical location in US. The system was simulated using HOMER-Pro software. Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology, Pune, India Oct 2013-May 2014 Research Assistant

Renewable Energy Development (3phase Bi-directional grid tie inverter) Designed Matlab-simulink for 3-phase bi-directional grid tie inverter to feed in excess electricity generated by the renewable energy resources into grid. Authored and implemented Code for PWM generation using Micro c and Proteus.

Ultrasonic Cleaner (Mosfet based single phase inverter) Designed Mosfet based single phase inverter (Ultrasonic Cleaner). Utilized Altium for doing

‘Surface mount device’ PCB designing

Integrated Automation and Robotics, Aurangabad, India Aug 2012-May 2013 Trainee Engineer

Bar Feeder and Pick and place arrangements

Designed PLC program for pick and place and bar feeder arrangements. Implemented code using Codesys tool.

Switched Mode power supply(SMPS)

Designed an 80W SMPS using Flyback converter topology to generate multiple DC output from AC input. The output voltages were 5V and 12V.

ACADEMIC PROJECTS

Available Transfer Capability Sep 2015-Dec 2015
