Payroll:

Responsible for all the entire payroll process; completed statistical employee earnings; including all government remittances (CPP, UI, TAXES, EHT, WSIB) with various rate groups, T4s and T4As and completed all summary reports.

Ensured garnishments and pension adjustments were in balance, compliance and all statutory requirements were met and administered to various agencies in accordance with payroll standards.

Administered incentive plans, tracked eligibility, manage accruals following corporate and financial guidelines and prepared release of bonus payments.

Calculated the salaried and hourly vacation pay, termination pay, taxable benefits and other payments in accordance with government legislation.

Responsible for processing multiple bi-weekly payroll cycles for over 160 employees.

Created and maintained standard work processes across all divisions for salaried and hourly payroll administration.

Analyzed and problem solved complex payroll and technical issues.

Accounting:

Accounts payable and receivables and inventory accuracy.

Responsible for all banking, deposits, reconciliation of all bank statements. Signing authority for all cheques.

Performed annual internal audits of store systems and procedures.

Liaised with vendors, consultants, governmental agencies and external contracts.

Co-ordinated and executed of all the internal and external audits.

Assisted in the preparation of annual wage costs, budgets and forecasts.
