By using this techinicque the fault location is very simple.In this techinique,we use ohms law and the dc supply is given through a series resistor of the feeder.The current is varied depending upon the point of occurrence of fault.In under ground cables R is directly proposnal to L By using this phenomena We calculate the lengh of fault in kilometers with a prototype kit Role and Responsibilities:
