Mini project on the title-MUSCLE STIMULATOR.

DESCRIPTION

Electrical Muscle Stimulation often called “e-stim” or “TENS” is a type of treatment often used in physical therapy or other rehabilitation settings. The two primary uses of this treatment are pain relief and muscle re-education. In most settings, there is a machine that provides an electric current. Wires from the machine are connected to adhesive patches that are placed on the skin over predetermined area. Electrical current is then sent from the machine to the patches and delivered into the muscle tissue,causing a sensory or motory response.

Main project on the title-LOW-COST,ELECTROMYOGRAPHICALLY CONTROLLED HAND PROSTHESIS FOR AMPUTEES.

DESCRIPTION

The study reported here explored the design and realization of a low-cost,electromyographically controlled hand prosthesis for amputees living in devoleping countries. The developed prosthesis is composed of a 3D printed structure with opposing fingers connected to a DC motor that imparts only the movement of grasp. Problems associated with surface electromyographic signal acquisition and processing,motor control and evaluation of grasp force were addressed,with the goal of minimizing cost and ensuring easy assembly.
