A specialty chemical and materials technology company with sales in excess of $3B producing resins, plastics and composite materials for the aerospace industry and other users of specialty materials.
Responsible for infrastructure construction and operations with a project budget up to $15M annually and an operating budget of $5M.
Oversight of staff including capital project, utility, contract, reliability, production and process engineers as well as maintenance to support the above.
Provides overall leadership to the maintenance, utilities, and engineering departments to achieve a high level of equipment reliability and converting efficiencies in a safe, responsible, cost effective manner.

Directed multi-phased Manufacturing operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Production Technologies, New Product Introduction (NPI), Sustaining Engineering, and Facilities Management directly or through a matrix management structure.
Responsible for all activities involving the quality assurance management system, including compliance of operations with applicable regulatory requirements, product quality control, and related internal and external quality policy deployment.

Managed Process Engineering consisting of a team of engineers and process technicians responsible for improving the process in all areas of extrusion, handling and packaging.
Grew the in-house process engineering staff by identifying and hiring engineers and technicians with extrusion industry experience who were also a good fit with the culture of the existing team.
Directed the installation of capital equipment to ensure systems are installed and functioning according to required implementation schedule and specifications.
Utilized value stream mapping to identify and eliminate waste as well as evaluated potential changes in workflow to maximize production efficiencies.
