HP Network Protector
Role : Senior QA Engineer for performance and stress testing.
Duration : 1 yr 6 months (Jan 2014-June 2015)
Description : HP Network Protector provides security for Bring your own device (BYOD) The Network Protector SDN Application uses the HP SDN Controller to program the network infrastructure with security intelligence from the Tipping Point RepDV Labs database. This turns the entire network infrastructure into security-enforcement devices, providing visibility and threat protection against more than one million malicious botnets, malware and spyware sites.
Responsibilities:
Involved in Sprint Planning and defining user stories for feature testing
As a part of scrum team, I was responsible for Feature, Performance and Stress testing of the product using IXIA's IxLoad (traffic generation)
Generated Performance comparison report across sprints and published to appropriate stakeholders like Product Management and Development teams
Assisted Development team with variation analysis like throughput and latency
Responsible for updating Agile Manager (AGM) with user stories, story points and acceptance criteria for each user story
Developed Automation testing suite using Python and Robot Framework (http://robotframework.org/) for feature testing
Was also responsible for integrating automation suite with Continuous Development and Integration Testing (CDIT) framework

HP VAN SDN Controller
Role : QA Engineer.
Duration : 9 months (April 2013-Dec 2013)
Description : HP Virtualized Application Networks (VAN) SDN Controller provides centralized control and automation for your SDN network. The HP SDN Controller controls policy and forwarding decisions, which are communicated to the Open Flow-enabled switches in the data center or campus network. A variety of HP and third-party SDN applications can leverage the SDN controller to automatically deliver the necessary business and network service levels
Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible for ensuring that controller is able to discover and communicate with HP E-Series and A-Series switches as per the OpenFlow 1.0 and 1.3 protocols
Testing via CLI commands and GUI that the controller is able to push the flows onto the switches in different topologies like mesh, trunk etc.
Assisted Development team with analysis of behavior between E and A series switches
Involved in Test Strategy planning for the product.
Was part of the test plan review team
HP E-Series Switches
Role : QA Engineer
Duration : 4 yrs 4 months (Nov 2008-Mar 2013)
Description: System verification testing of a HP Layer 2 Gigabit Ethernet Switch module for HP Switches. Testing HP 3500, 5400, 8200 series Multi layer switches for L2 and L3 features.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for test planning, feature test and system test for routing protocols (Static routing, RIP, OSPF and VRRP), OpenFlow 1.0 and 1.3, L2 protocols(LLDP, Mesh, GVRP, Access Lists ) on various HP Switches.
Testing the CLI commands and GUI for the switches
Assisted Development team with analysis the bugs raised
Involved in test planning and review of the test cases
Was responsible for test plan improvement(TPI) for the features like SNMP, LLDP etc
Helped the wireless team with TPI for their test cases

Description : DSLAMs (Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer) is a network device, usually at a telephone company central office, that receives signals from multiple customer Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) connections and puts the signals on a high-speed backbone line using multiplexing techniques.
Responsibilities:
Involved in stability testing of ISAM.(IP based DSLAMs);defining and executing stability, reliability and robustness tests on the full rack of ISAM
Effort estimation for the features and preparing Test Strategies, Planning and Design of LAB Facilities in offshore centre, develop test plan and execute the test cases
Was mainly responsible for the smoke test setup offshore and execute the smoke suite for each and every build before others could take up the build for testing.
Overseas Exposure:
As a part of stability Testing of DSLAMs I had been to ANTWERP, BELGIUM Alcatel’s office for 6 months and carried out the performance testing for the fully loaded DSLAMs
Had been to HP, ROSEVILLE, CA for 2 months for the transition of the performance and stress testing of the HP Network Protector Application
