Utran/Eutran Support Engineer (WCDMA/LTE), Australia (2004 – 2010)

Roles included WCDMA/LTE network integration (manual and autointegration BSIM), Rollout and Handling CSR/TR, Emergency support for customers in South East Asia customers (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Japan).

WCDMA RF design for the first and new WCDMA 850 for Telstra customer. This project to replaced existing CDMA coverage. This involved design site construction, new equipment connection layout and TCPU prediction on new design. Tools used TCPU, TEMS.

RNC configuration design to support SGSN and MME in pool. This involved the design groups: RNC, SGSN, MME, Transport Network. Both HW and SW changed.

WCDMA new features demo to customers in Singapore - Singtel IuPs over IP. Project coaching to help other perform according to Ericsson standard to minimize risks and faster delivery to customer.

Write script (MO scripts or Shell script) to perform the integration and/or to audit the network parameters consistency throughout network.

Sitting in customer office (Singtel-Singapore) to support for any issued raised and to help customer understand the features in RNC.

System test verification in GSM BSC for R8, R9 and R10. Major tasks are test preparation; carry out traffic test cases, new application implementation on-site, STP support, support on-site and emergency handling.

2ND line support and emergency handling globally. Handling CSRs/TRs, trouble shooting during support if requires. Analysing fault with design and provide temporary solution.

Setup SEA network configuration (R8 and R10) for BSC team to simulate traffic calls, this tool helps to find fault without physical BSC node. Mentor other members to use SCS and CLE (Simulator).
